When trying to import an object after a pull from Dev Ops I get this in a text file.

Error encountered at line 966.
Expected: End of file. Found: Version.

Please help. Thanks.

Seems you have switched the splitting of the object type.
The name of the file maybe xxx.def what is the code if splitting is active.
Rename it to xxx.layout and try again or deactivate splitting.
